To perform the role of Radiographer Senior I in the Imaging Department comprising general imaging, CT / MRI. To provide a professional radiographic and scanning service to patients and referring consultants, compliant with current legislation and best practice. 1. Clinical Responsibilities i. Provide a professional radiographic, CT / MRI scanning service to patients. ii. Provide and be responsible for a high standard of patient care at all times. iii. Prepare for and assist Radiologists and other Consultants during specialised procedures. iv. Work efficiently and effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimum patient care. v. Undertake intravenous injections of contrast agents. vi. Participate in the rotation through all the MedTel sites and be available for weekend work. vii. Take a flexible approach to working hours when required. viii. Liaise with Radiologists / Consultants with regards to urgent reports or scan protocols. ix. Assist in training new or junior members of staff. x. Log all equipment / processor problems via the MedTel Facilities Management program and report problems to the manufacturer and liaise with engineers, keeping the Superintendent Radiographer / Imaging Manager informed. xi. Carry out and record the Quality Assurance checks on the equipment. xii. Familiarise yourself with the cardiac arrest trolley, procedures and policies.
