Are you a Band 6 Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit Speech and Language Therapist looking for an exciting career as part of an experienced team?­­­
On behalf of our client in East London, Cpl UK – Health are looking for a highly motivated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to start ASAP until the end of July 2021.
You will be providing essential assessment and treatment as well as supporting patients with communication difficulties in a variety of complex discussions and decisions such as mental capacity for key decisions; goal setting; engaging with understanding key clinical, legal, financial information.
You will have a personable, friendly approach with patients and colleagues and perform your duties to the highest standards.
Please note, we are unable to sponsor visas. We require the Right to Work in the UK.
Job Description:- Band 6 RNRU Speech and Language Therapist- 37.5 hours per week- Working hours: 9am – 5pm - Monday to Friday- Hourly rate of up to £25.00- ASAP start - end of July 2021
- Specialist neuro SLT assessment and treatment including Aphasia, Apraxia and Cognitive communication disorder
- Experience of working with issues relating to complex mental capacity, DOLS and best interest decision making
- Leading and contributing to goal and rehab admission planning
- Supporting staff to manage patients rehab needs
- Fulfill key working role, including discharge planning, liaising with social care, housing, floating support and other community resources
- Contribution to MDM’s/ team meeting/ communication with key stakeholders for service
- Completion of appropriate onward referrals
Requirements:- HCPC registration - Previous experience essential (6 months minimum experience within the community)- Right to Work in the UK- You must be able to independently manage your own caseload
- Dysphasia competency
